Psalm 34:17-19

How often do you spend scrolling through the channels or platforms like Netflix through out the week? What about game apps, Facebook and other forms of social media, do you find it eating away at your time?
While I was staining my furniture today the thought of God always knowing whats going on with us came through my mind. I pondered, if God was to swipe through our lives, as we certainly know He does, what would your channel status be? I’m assuming I’d be in the comedy & mystery, hoping the rating would be rated R… for Righteous of course. But honestly, what channel category would you labeled as? I know some of you would be right next to the Looney Tunes. Would it be next to It’s a Wonderful Life?, Home Alone?, Touched by an Angel?, The Brady Bunch?, Dangerous Minds?, Fried Green Tomatoes?, perhaps next to Ernest P Worrell?, I have to mention Star Wars or how bout The Boondock saints…. or would it inevitably be X’d out?
Meditated on this scripture verse for the following week rest of your life.
3 The Lord is watching everywhere,
keeping his eye on both the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3 (NLT)
It’s simply yet very profound. God has His eye on both evil and good. Where does evil and good come from? Our responses, how we act. This will determine which channel rating we have. I don’t know about you, but I always tend to go for the more family friendly films. Isn’t it an oxymoron to claim you live the life of a certain channel but yet act more inducing as another channel?
I think it’s common sense to say that God would expect us to be in the family friendly rating. I’m certainly not perfect and have fallen to a few different channels I have no business being on, but thankfully we have a Savior that is willing to static out our life and fine tune us in to where we belong.
I don’t care what people think of me, as long as I care about them. I do care that what people do see, is indeed a representation of Jesus. That indeed, is the highest achievement I have to strive for.
