The Christmas Story 2020

It’s been a hectic year, and I’m sure many of you would respond in agreement. Christmas time is here and I know most of us may look forward to getting together and trying to forget about all the unusual circumstances that we have faced and just be able to spend time with friends and family. But even so, this year of most is a time we need to put our focus and trust even more on Jesus and our relationship with Him. In times of uncertainty it’s nice to just want to forget a bout all the craziness going on around us. But let’s not forget the most important aspect of Christmas. 🎄. It’s written in the name itself, Christ. Jesus our messiah. Our counselor and healer. Our one true King that no other kings or presidents can compare too.

At Christmas time I enjoy giving others gifts more than receiving. But after awhile, all the commercializing that goes on during Christmas gets to me. It times it makes my spirit and soul feel void after wondering for so long what I should get so and so and then I come to realize… we all need more Jesus time. What’s more important to Christ should be more important to each of us. Jesus only desires a relationship with us, He doesn’t care about the gifts, He cares about where we are with Him. In the same aspect our most important gift besides Jesus, is each other. We can have all the things in this world, but it will never be as fulfilling as it is, when we acknowledge Christ as our Savior. Whether you’re into the Christmas Spirit as some call it or not, Jesus should be our number one priority every second of our lives, and if we are going to recognize the birth of Jesus, lets do it out of reading of His birth before we focus on giving each other presents.

Because again, Jesus is the most important and precious gift.

Please listen as I read Isaiah 9:6-7 and Luke 2:1-20
